What happens if an EMI bounces?
Lenders usually charge a bounce fee and late interest, your bank may add its own charge, and it can show up on your credit report. A reminder a day or two before the debit is cheap insurance.
When should I set the EMI reminder?
Set it 1 to 2 days before the debit date, after your salary usually lands. Check your loan schedule for the exact debit date.
Can it remind me before the loan ends?
Yes. Send “Remind me to close my loan and collect the NOC before 10 June”, and it also nudges you 2 days and 1 day before.
What should I collect when a loan closes?
Ask for the No Objection Certificate, original property or vehicle papers if pledged, and check that the loan shows as closed on your credit report.
