Insurance premium reminder on WhatsApp

A lapsed health or life policy can cost you waiting periods, medical tests, or cover when you need it most.

How to set it on WhatsApp

Find the premium due date on your policy, then send RememberMyTask: “Remind me to pay my health insurance premium before 14 March”. It nudges you 2 days and 1 day before too. For yearly policies use “every year on 14 March”, and add nag me so it keeps asking until you reply done.

Questions

Is there a grace period?

Most policies give a grace period after the due date, often 15 or 30 days depending on the policy and payment mode. Check your policy document, and do not rely on it for health cover.

Why renew health insurance before it lapses?

A lapsed health policy can reset waiting periods for existing illnesses and lose your no-claim bonus. Renewing on time keeps those benefits.

What should I check at renewal?

Sum insured, any premium change, added family members, and the nominee. It is also a good time to compare with other insurers.

Can it remind me about vehicle insurance too?

Yes. Set a separate yearly reminder for each policy so each one arrives on its own date.
