You can delete all the data RememberMyTask holds about you at any time. There are two ways.
Option 1: in WhatsApp
- Open your chat with RememberMyTask.
- Send the message delete my data.
- The bot confirms that your account will be erased.
Option 2: by email
- Email hello@remembermytask.com with the subject “Delete my data”.
- Include the WhatsApp phone number, with the country code, whose data you want deleted.
- We may ask you to confirm from that WhatsApp number, so that nobody else can delete your account. We then delete the data and reply to tell you it is done.
What is deleted
- Your phone number and account settings (time zone, language, summary time).
- All your reminders.
- The log of messages between you and RememberMyTask.
We delete this within 30 days of your request. Backups expire on their normal schedule after that.
What we have to keep
If you paid us, we keep the payment record (amount, date, plan and payment reference) for as long as tax and accounting law requires. It is not used for anything else.
Good to know
- Deleting your data ends any paid plan. If you paid in the last 14 days, ask for a refund first.
- If you only want the messages to stop, send stop instead. Your reminders stay saved.
- If you send us no message for 12 months, we delete your account data automatically.
- Your chat history inside WhatsApp is on your own phone. You can clear it in WhatsApp.
