Make your reminders loud

Two minutes, once. Your reminders get their own loud tone, a long buzz, and still come through when Do Not Disturb is on. Setting it up for a parent? Do it on their phone.

Android

  1. Open the RememberMyTask chat

Tap the name at the top of the chat, then Notifications.

  2. Give it its own sound

Turn on Use custom notifications. Pick a loud Notification tone, set Vibrate to Long, and turn on Use high priority notifications.

  3. Make it a priority conversation

When the next reminder arrives, press and hold it in your notifications and choose Priority.

  4. Let it through Do Not Disturb

Open Settings › Notifications › Do Not Disturb, then under People or Conversations, allow priority conversations.

iPhone

  1. Save the number as a contact

    Name it RememberMyTask: +91 91803 87827.

  2. Pick a loud tone

In the RememberMyTask chat, tap the name at the top, then the notifications or sound option, and choose an alert tone you will notice.

  3. Let it through Do Not Disturb and Sleep

Open Settings › Focus › Do Not Disturb › People and add RememberMyTask. Do the same for Sleep if you use it.

  4. Keep the sound on

The ring switch or Action button still silences everything, so leave it on ring, and turn up the volume in Settings › Sounds & Haptics.

On any phone

  • Check the chat isn’t muted: tap the name at the top; Mute should be off.
  • For things that can’t wait, add “nag me”: it asks again every 30 minutes until you reply done.
  • Forgot these steps? Send “loud” in the chat.
