When do I need an MOT in the UK?
In Great Britain, most cars need an MOT every year once they are three years old. You can have it done up to a month, minus a day, before it runs out and keep the same renewal date.
Does every US state require inspections?
No. Some states require yearly safety or emissions checks, some only emissions in certain counties, and some none. Check the rules where you live.
What commonly causes a fail?
Lights, tires, brakes, wipers and warning lights are frequent culprits. A quick check of bulbs and tire tread beforehand can save a retest.
